The No. 1-selling Christmas artist of all time, Mannheim Steamroller is coming to central Nebraska as part of its 28th Anniversary Tour: “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis.”
Tickets are priced at $37, $47 and $57 (plus fees). They go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on June 17 and can be ordered online at www.kearneyevents.com or by phone at 308-338-8011.
Mannheim Steamroller last played at the Viaero Event Center in 2010, when it sold out two shows and set a record for the highest grossing act in the history of the venue. Mannheim was scheduled to play in Kearney last year, but the show was cancelled and rescheduled after a major winter storm hit the area.
Mannheim Steamroller is known for its state-of-the-art multimedia effects and signature mix of renaissance instruments with rock and roll beats. The Kearney show is directed and co-produced by Grammy Award winner and group founder Chip Davis.
Davis works out of Omaha and has written, arranged and recorded over 35 albums while selling more than 40 million records. With more than 28 million Christmas records sold, Mannheim Steamroller is the biggest selling Christmas artist of all time.
In addition to his Grammy Award-winning Fresh Aire series, Davis has to his credit 19 gold, 8 multi-platinum and 4 platinum certified records.
