Located in the heart of central Nebraska, the Viaero Event Center is clearly established as one of the finest sports and entertainment venues in the Midwest.

Built for $10.5 million, the privately owned multi-purpose arena opened in 2000 and has been the home of the United States Hockey League’s Tri-City Storm since day one. The Storm won the 2003-04 Anderson Cup and was named the USHL’s Franchise of The Year for both the 2000-01 and 2003-04 seasons.

The venue features a full range of arena programming, including concerts, industry trade events, family shows, ice skating and hockey, sports & recreation and a variety of indoor sporting events such basketball, roller derby and mixed martial arts.

Viaero Event Center plays host to more than 50 major events per year, and an average of 133,000 guests have visited the facility each year of its 13-year history. The facility has drawn more than 1.7 million visitors since opening.

The arena has hosted numerous high-profile concerts of national distinction in its history, including Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Alice Cooper, BB King, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels Band, Kenny Rogers, The Harlem Globetrotters, Mannheim Steamroller and many more.

Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Papa Roach, Daughtry and Jeff Dunham are among recent big-name artist to perform at the Viaero Event Center.
Aside from being a great concert and sporting venue, the 4,500-seat arena also has spaces to rent for large or intimate private events, varying from weddings to business meetings and luncheons. The venue includes 20 executive suites on two levels.

The venue also hosts youth, high school and college athletic competitions, including tournaments for wrestling, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and other sports.

Public skating is offered on weekends from September through April, and the building is a hotbed of activity for adult and youth hockey leagues.

A convenient, accessible location in the middle of Nebraska and the U.S., the Viaero Event Center is located just off of the Interstate 80 exit that serves as the main entrance to the city of Kearney.
